that revolves completely around fixing the neck. However, if you come into my office, don’t be surprised if you hear me tell you that all that time you spent focusing of your neck would have been better spent looking at your hip alignment or some other area. You see my philosophy is that when trying to recover from pain or injury in most cases we should be looking at muscle imbalances and joint misalignments throughout your entire body and not just one part or area. Unlike a doctor or some physical therapists, I look beyond the point of concern and provide corrective exercises to address these misalignments. The result is that people feel better.
Tim was one of my clients that was dealing with chronic neck pain. When he came into my office he had complaints about the right side of his neck and made reference to his shoulder blade. He said he had been to his family doctor, his chiropractor and finally the physical therapist. His doctor diagnosed him with some degeneration of his cervical spine and a small bulging disc. None of them thought that the bulging disc was the cause. They were more convinced that the degeneration was causing his pain. He told me that he basically had arthritis and a decrease in the space between his vertebrae.
Out of the different treatment methods Tim tried, he thought that the
chiropractor gave him the most relief. He was seeing his chiropractor
two days per week for about six weeks. For about half a day after
each visit Tim would feel better but soon that pain would sneak right
back up on him when he sat down at his computer to do work. As for
physical therapy, Tim had gotten frustrated with it after about three
weeks of doing the isometric exercises prescribed to him. If
